Counseling Services
On-Campus Counseling
The counseling/advising program is an essential part of campus life at God’s Bible School and College, and is provided by the Counseling Center, Vice President for Student Affairs, Resident Directors and various faculty and staff members.
Professional Counseling Center
Professional counselors are available for college students at little or no charge. The counseling office is located on the lower classroom level in the Knapp Memorial Building. To make an appointment contact the Student Affairs Office for phone numbers to contact the counselors directly. In addition to the on-campus counseling, the college works with off-campus counseling centers and offers referrals when needed or when students request off-campus options.
Ministerial and Lay Counseling
Ordained clergy are available to students for pastoral counseling, prayer, and advising. In addition to the professional and pastoral counseling available, members of the faculty and staff provide lay counseling and/or advising to assist students through difficult times and decision making.
Counseling Program Objectives
- To provide biblical counseling and counseling for spiritual transformation and maturity
- To provide mental health therapy (professional counseling center)
- To aid the student in decision making.
- To provide a setting where the student can gain self-understanding and self-acceptance.
- To equip the student in maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships.
- To help the student through times of adjustment and difficulty socially, academically, psychologically, emotionally, vocationally, spiritually and environmentally.
